Friday, September 25 commonly confused words: denotation and connotation practice

 In class:  We are finishing up the diction exercise from yesterday's article on Serena Williams' catsuit controversy, followed by practicing the terms connote and denote, as an extension of our work yesterday on diction. These are very important concepts and drive the meaning behind your word choices and an understanding of the author's tone.
